- White Joss is a powerful binder which makes it a great alternative to Makko. It doesn't provide the same combustion assistance as Makko does, though that is not usually required when your recipe is chiefly wood powder. White Joss is less expensive and more readily available than Makko as well.

- Using the recommended ratios, one 8 oz bag will make 1,200 - 1,400 standard sized incense cones (0.6 inches x 1.1 inches). A little goes a long way as this White Joss powder gets very sticky when mixed with water.
